The Write Way

Mention writing to almost anyone and they’ll be most likely cringe because getting someone to write is like getting some of us to believe that the price of petrol will drop to RM1 per litre. Most people don’t like writing because it’s cumbersome - how to start, what to write in the middle and how to end. The writing process isn’t as difficult as you think it is. It became difficult the moment you said you didn’t like it. And why is that? Because of the mindless essays we were asked to write in school and the shelling that we got when we didn’t write how the teachers wanted us to write. Here’s the deal. If you can send an SMS and write an email, you can write bigger things. But the key to writing well must first begin with the readiness to improve your communication skills. Don’t worry if you can’t speak well, the key is make an effort – keep doing it and you’ll soon be speaking like a pro and writing like one too. Writing is vital to communication – recognize this and make a change that will do you and your organization good.

Yes, i don't like to write. But the way you make it sounds like it's an easy thing to do. Now, i want to write like you..

People who say that they do not like to write is like saying they do not like to take medicine when they are sick. We will never like the things that are difficult but good for us. But once we start to do it and do it often enough, we start to acquire a liking for anything if only we are consistent with our actions.

I love to write. I've wrote a few poems and a novel (just for my reading). But the thing is I write according to my satisfaction and imagination..

You have inspired us in writing. Thanks for your encouragement and support in our writing from time to time.

As mentioned, you write like a machine. That's why, I always called you "CHAMPION". Now I wonder the merit of company to have a good PR person.

Writing is a skill. And I believe skills can be learned. It's whether do we willing to put the effort to improve our writing skills or do we just give ourselves an excuse "I cannot write a good email/ article because I am not a writer." The choice is on your hand!

In the blog, you mentioned that "the key to writing well must first begin with the readiness to improve your communication skills". This process like a born baby, he learn how to talk, how to call his parents "dad" and "mum". After few years ago, he learn how to write, how to spell "dad" and "mum".

I totally agree with what has been said. I've always loved writing, blogging in particular, because it is how I express how I feel, and it serves as a medium to share my thoughts with my friends and others who read my blog. The best part is the aftermath of publishing the blog, simply because I know my thoughts are recorded. When I look back at my blog entries from 5 years ago, I reflect on how how much I have changed, and how my opinions have taken a different perspective on so many things.

Well, i think a lot of us have a mental barrier that tells us we can't really do this and that we can't really do that. And especially when it sounds really hard to do. I remember my Mom telling me that you need to be gifted to write a story. But from what I've learned over the years says everything needs effort & 100% into it in order for you to get it right. Hence, practice makes perfect. Like the great Ernie Chen says, 100% effort only! as 99% effort is not good enough & you're bound to fail!

I prefer to do writing rather than speaking as my way of communication. when i write, i can spot my mistakes and correct it before delivering it to the others. so that i can make sure that i convey the correct message.but, i'm still in the process of learning to write the right way.

I like to write. But the only thing I don't like is that it takes me along time to just finish one paragraph. It's very hard to get my thoughts on paper.

I'm looking forward to your writing workshop. I saw your Business Writing Skill workshop video clip on YouTube and your workshop is not only educating but entertaining.

Sometime we may be hard to bring it out verbally, but with writing, it's much easier to express our feeling & thought. Even though the writing may not be in proper, I believe reading helps, by reading, we can form the sentences easily & meaningful.

There are two types of people. the "I write" and the "I too lazy to write". Anyone who says i don't know how to, my language not good enough ... is in the "I too lazy to write."
